Dolly Baker's White House Farm is a USDA certified organic farm. In 2004, the farm planted short rows of 5 varieties, 4 from American hybrids known for disease resistance and 1 old world variety “Merlot” to determine which would grow and produce better in Eastern Shore conditions.
